Renewal of a backing roll. The dynamic runout of the roll was decreased from 215 µm down to 13 µm at the running speed of 1400 m/min by minimizing a dynamic deformation of the shell, a dynamic deflection of the roll and a rotational error motion of the bearing assemblies. |
