Correction of the slideway errors improves paper quality in CD

Hybrid GrindControl 3D machining essentially reduce the roll errors and improve paper quality. In a paper mill the maximum caliper differences of SC fiber rolls without error compensation were 90-120 µm and with the Hybrid 3D machining control the errors were reduced to 10 - 15 µm. As a result of the investment the thickness and gloss profiles of calendered LWC paper were substantially improved.
